Menambah Display Resolusi Netbook

Seiring perkembangan jaman yang semakin maju, perusahaan terbesar Microsoft telah meluncurkan Operasi System generasi terbaru setelah Windows 7, yaitu Windows 8. Seiring promosi yang memaparkan keunggulan dan kelebihan yang di miliki windows 8 berdampak ketertarikan pada pengguna komputer, baik netbook, notebook maupun personal komputer desktop untuk mencoba beralih ke OS Windows 8. Ada beberapa alasan yang di kemukakan antara lain : Mengikuti perkembangan jaman, mencoba sesuatu yang baru, dan yang paling banyak supaya dibilang canggih atau keyen.

Permasalahan timbul ketika pengguna netbook yang hanya memiliki screen resolusi 1024 x 600 pixel. Setelah di instal OS windows 8, ada beberapa fitur pada tampilan Metro yang tidak berfungsi/ tidak bisa berjalan. Bingung juga tu... mau beli gadget baru duit pas-pas’an... hehehe..

Eit.... jangan bersedih... karena ada sebuah cara untuk meningkatkan display resolusi, yaitu dengan melakukan pengubahan angka di registry.

Cara ini saya coba di NetBook Acer Aspire One, dan hasilnya bisa untuk menjalankan aplikasi metro Windows 8, yang memang membutuhkan resolusi minimal 1024 x 768 pixel.

 Berikut caranya :

1.    Buka regedit (tekan Win+R pada keyboard, lalu ketik regedit [enter])

2.    Cari key Lokasi berikut pada dialog registry,

o    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / Class / {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} / 0000

o    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / Class / {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} / 0001

3.    Di kedua lokasi ini, anda akan menemukan <bold>"Display1_DownScalingSupported"<bold> dalam daftar DWORD, klik kanan pada 'DWORD' dan pilih untuk memodifikasi, mengubah value dari 0 ke 1 untuk DWORD lalu tekan OK.

NOTE : jika DWORD tidak ada, buat DWORD sendiri dengan nama tersebut dan value data diganti 1

4.    Tutup regedit lalu restart netbook anda.

5.    Sekarang buka pengaturan resolusi layar (Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Display -> Screen Resolution) pada Netbook anda dan di sana anda dapat melihat pilihan yang lebih di Resolution.

Kini anda dapat memilih resolusi layar 1024x768 pixel dan aplikasi yang tadinya tidak dapat dijalankan sekarang bisa berjalan dengan baik, walau tampilah di desktop menjadi lebih kecil dari sebelumnya. 

ISO to USB

 

Merupakan program aplikasi yang sangat kecil (1,43 MB) yang digunakan untuk membakar file ISO/ image mencakup semua konten langsung ke USB drive termasuk memori stick dan USB jenis lainnya (USB storage devices). Program ini dapat dengan mudah membakar file-file ISO ke USB (flash disk). Software ini mendukung Windows disk bootable, dapat bekerja dengan baik pada BOOTMGR dan modus NTLDR boot dan dapat membuat USB disk dengan sistem berkas FAT, FAT32, atau NTFS ExFAT, sehingga nantinya jika di Burn ke flashdish dapat kita digunakan sebagai  flashdisk instal OS. Sebagai catatan... jika ingin membuat disk bootable USB, disarankan untuk memilih sistem file FAT32. Telah di uji (tested) loh diuji pada Windows XP, Windows 7 dan windows 8.  Satu lagi keunggulannya... di dalam penggunaannya sangat mudah dan sederhana.

Cara penggunaan :

1.    Download program iso to USB di sini

2.    Install

3.    Colokkan Flashdisk kosong ukuran 1 GB untuk bin XP, 4 GB untuk win 7 atau 8

4.    Cari (Browse) file ISO yang akan di burn

5.    Pilih Drive Flashdisk sebagai tempat hasil Bun

6.    Pilih pada File System Fat32

7.    ketikkan nama program Pada kolom Volume Label

8.    Burn !

9.    Selesai cuy.... sekarang flashdisk kita bisa dipakai untuk instal. J

Refresh, Reinstall atau Restore Windows 8

Mungkin kita pernah mengalami kekesalan pada sistem komputer kita, baik itu error, crash sistem atau komputer dikuasai oleh bangsa virus. Pada postingan ini saya akan menulis pilihan cara untuk memulihkan sistem operasi (OS) Windows 8, karena saya memakai Windows 8 (sebenarnya gak jauh beda dengan Windows 7).

Ada 3 pilihan utama untuk memulihkan sistem operasi windows 8 yaitu refresh, reinstall dan restore. Semua pilihan ini dapat digunakan untuk memulihkan dan memperbaiki Windows 8 serta mempunyai cara kerja yang berbeda antara Refresh, Reinstall dan Restore pada Windows 8

Dengan memilih metode perbaiki/ pemulihan windows 8 sesuai dengan permasalahan tertentu, Mungkin dapat menghemat waktu dan biaya untuk instal ulang Windows 8. Berikut beberapa tips untuk memperbaiki windows 8.

Refresh Windows 8

Pilihan refresh windows 8 memungkinkan Anda untuk merefresh windows 8 tanpa kehilangan foto, musik, video dan file pribadi lainnya.

Seperti dijelaskan, inilah yang akan terjadi jika refresh windows 8 dilakukan ;

Refresh komputer Anda

1.    File dan pengaturan personalisasi tidak akan berubah.

2.    Pengaturan pada PC Anda akan berubah kembali ke setelan default.

3.    Aplikasi dari Windows Market akan disimpan.

4.    Aplikasi Anda diinstal dari hardisk atau situs web akan dihapus.

5.    Daftar aplikasi akan disimpan ke desktop Anda.

Untuk Refresh Windows 8, mulailah dengan membuka Charms menu atau  Win + C dan mengklik Settings . Selanjutnya, pilih Change PC Settings option. Gulir ke bawah ke General dan klik Get started Refresh your PC without affecting your files.

Reinstall Windows 8

Reinstall – Hapus segala sesuatu dan menginstal ulang Windows 8.  Windows 8 menginstal ulang pilihan memungkinkan Anda untuk benar-benar menginstal ulang sistem operasi tanpa harus secara manual memformat hard drive dan menginstal menggunakan Windows 8 disk atau USB drive. Ketika Anda menginstal ulang Windows 8 menggunakan pilihan Reinstall:

1.    Semua file, data, aplikasi, program dan pengaturan Windows akan dihapus. Windows sepenuhnya akan menginstal ulang sendiri dan PC Anda akan benar-benar kembali ke instalasi Windows 8.

2.    Tidak ada data PC sebelumnya atau data yang tersimpan akan ditransfer ke instalasi baru.

Untuk Reinstall Windows 8, mulailah dengan meluncurkan Charms menu dan memilih Settings. Pilih Change PC settings sama dengan langkah sebelumnya;

Gulir ke bawah ke General  dan pilih. Dari submenu sisi kanan, cari Remove everything and reinstall Windows  dan klik tombol Get started.

Restore Windows 8

Windows 8 pilihan Restore memungkinkan Anda untuk memulihkan, atau memutar kembali Windows ke waktu sebelumnya ketika System Restore point dibuat. Pilihan ini beralih Windows ke keadaan System Restore point dibuat.

Berikut adalah beberapa rincian tentang bagaimana pilihan Restore beroperasi:

1.    System restore tidak mempengaruhi apapun, Anda gambar dokumen atau data pribadi lainnya.

2.    Program baru diinstal dan driver mungkin dihapus.

Untuk mengembalikan restore Windows 8, mulailah dengan membuka Control Panel . Dari Control Panel, gulir ke bawah ke Recovery dan klik untuk memilihnya.

Restore Windows 8 dari Waktu Awal

Dari menu recover, pilih Open System Restore . Ini akan membuka panel System Restore, di mana Anda dapat memilih System Restore point untuk kembali Windows 8 sebelumnya.

Di Windows 8 untuk membuka System Restore Point gunakan tombol shortcut Win+F untuk membuka windows 8 metro search, lalu klik menu settings di sebelah kanan, dan masukkan System Restore di kotak search kemudian tekan Enter.

Dari hasil pencarian yang muncul di sebelah kiri kalian akan melihat menu create a restore point, klik pada ikon tersebut dan sebuah jendela System Properties akan muncul.

Lalu klik pada drive system dan tekan tombol create, beri nama dari system restore yang akan kalian buat. Lalu klik lagi tombol create dan System Restore Point untuk Windows 8 telah selesai dibuat.

Dari pengalaman yang sering saya alami.... sistem restore merupakan pilihan yang terbaik... Bagaimana dengan kamu?.....

Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool

Sebelumnya saya pernah memposting "Flash disk pengganti cd install windows".  yang intinya mengintall Operasi Sistem dengan menggunakan flash disk, hanya cara ini terlalu ribet dan terlalu banyak langkah langkah penggunaannya. Pada postingan kali ini saya berbagi informasi sama seperti sebelumnya, menginstall Sistem dengan flash disk hanya kali ini dengan aplikasi program dari microsoft, yaitu Windows 7 USB/DVD tool. Aplikasi ini sangat simple dan praktis dalam penggunaannya.

OVERVIEW

When you choose to download most software from the Microsoft Store, you have the option of using Download Manager or downloading from your browser. However, when you purchase Microsoft Windows 7 from Microsoft Store, you have an additional choice to make: whether to download a collection of compressed files or to download an ISO file. An ISO file combines all the Windows 7 installation files into a single uncompressed file.

If you choose to download an ISO file (so that you can create a bootable file from a DVD or USB flash drive), copy your Windows 7 ISO file onto your media and, run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool. After you do this, you can install Windows 7 onto your computer directly from the USB flash drive or DVD.

NOTE: When you download the ISO file, you must copy the file onto a USB flash drive or a DVD to install Windows 7. When you're ready to install Windows 7, insert the USB flash drive into your USB port or insert your DVD into your DVD drive, and then run Setup.exe from the root folder on the drive.

The advantage to following this process and creating bootable media is that it allows you to install Windows 7 without having to first run an existing operating system on your machine. If you change the boot order of drives in your computer's BIOS, you can run the Windows 7 installation directly from your USB flash drive or from a DVD when you first turn your computer on. (Please see the documentation for your computer for information about how to change the BIOS boot order of drives.)

Copies

• To install the software, you may make one copy of the ISO file on a disc, USB flash drive, or other media.
• After you’ve installed the software and accepted the license terms that accompany the software, those license terms apply to your use of the software. The license terms for Windows 7 permit you to make one copy of the software as a back-up copy for re-installation on the licensed computer. If you do not delete your copy of the ISO file after installing the Windows 7 software, the copy of the ISO file counts as your one back-up copy.

If you need to download the software again, you can go to your Download Purchase History in your Microsoft Store account and access the download there.

INSTALLATION

TO INSTALL THE WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL:

1. Click to open the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool installation file.
2. When you are prompted to either save the file to disk or run it, choose Run.
3. Follow the steps in the setup dialogs. You'll have the option to specify where to install the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.

NOTE: You need to be an administrator on the computer you are installing the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool on. The tool requires the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 

• Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
• 50MB of free space on your hard drive
• DVD-R drive or 4GB removable USB flash drive

FOR WINDOWS XP USERS

The following applications must be installed prior to installing the tool:

• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 must be installed. It can be downloaded here. 
• Microsoft Image Mastering API v2 must be installed. It can be downloaded here. 

USING THE WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL

Before you run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool, make sure you have already purchased the Windows 7 ISO download from Microsoft Store and have downloaded the Windows 7 ISO file to your hard drive. If you have purchased Windows 7 but have not yet downloaded the ISO file, you can download the file from your Microsoft Store Account.

TO MAKE A COPY OF YOUR WINDOWS 7 ISO FILE:

1. Click the Windows START button, and click WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL in the ALL PROGRAMS list to open the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.
2. In the SOURCE FILE box, type the name and path of your Windows 7 ISO file, or click BROWSE and select the file from the OPEN dialog box. Click NEXT.
3. Select USB DEVICE to create a copy on a USB flash drive or select DVD disk to create a copy on a DVD disk.
4. If you are copying the file to a USB flash drive, select your USB device in the drop-down list and click BEGIN COPYING. If you are copying the file up to a DVD, click BEGIN BURNING.

When your Windows 7 ISO file is copied onto your chosen media, install Windows 7 by moving to the root folder of your DVD or USB flash drive, and then double-click Setup.exe.

Yes, as long as your DVD drive can write to a Blu-Ray DVD.

IF I HAVE OTHER FILES ON THE USB FLASH DRIVE WILL THE WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL DELETE THEM?

This tool requires the USB flash drive to be completely blank before the Windows 7 files are copied. This helps ensure that the device is bootable after the copying has completed.

CAN I BACKUP TO AN IPOD,CAMERA,OR OTHER DEVICE WITH ENOUGH FREE DISK SPACE?

Yes, but this is not recommended.

• The device must be formatted in order for the device to be bootable.

A dedicated USB flash drive would be a better option.

CAN I USE THE WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL TO BACKUP OTHER FILES ? 

No. This tool is only for use with the Windows 7 ISO file purchased from Microsoft Store.

DOES THE TOOL SUPPORT DUAL-LAYER DVD DISCS FOR BURNING?

No. Currently, the tool does not support dual-layer DVD discs.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The following tips might help if you run into a problem using this tool.

THE TOOL IS REQUESTED THAT I INSTALL THE .NET FRAMEWORK AND IMAGE MASTERING API BEFORE I INSTALL THE TOOL

For users running Windows XP, you must install the .NET Framework 2.0 and the Image Mastering API 2.0 before installing the tool. You can download .NET framework here  and you can download the Image Mastering API here .

Please note that a restart may be required after installing the .NET framework and the Image Mastering API.

WHEN CREATING A BOOTABLE USB DEVICE,I AM GETTING AN ERROR ABOUT BOOTSECT

To make the USB device bootable, you need to run a tool named bootsect.exe. In some cases, this tool needs to be downloaded from your Microsoft Store account. This may happen if you're trying to create a 64-bit bootable USB device from a 32-bit version of Windows. To download bootsect:

1. Login to your Microsoft Store account to view your purchase history
2. Look for your Windows 7 purchase.
3. Next to Windows 7, there is an "Additional download options" drop-down menu.
4. In the drop-down menu, select "32-bit ISO."
5. Right-click the link, and then save the bootsect.exe file to the location where you installed the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool (e.g. C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool).
6. Once the file has been saved, go back to the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool to create your bootable USB device.

MY USB DEVICE IS NOT IN THE LIST OF AVAILABLE DEVICES

If you don't see your USB flash drive in the list of available devices, please make sure the drive is inserted in the USB port, and then click the Refresh button beside the list of available drives.

I INSERTED A BLANK DVD IN MY DVD-ROM DRIVE, BUT THE WINDOWS 7 USB/DVD DOWNLOAD TOOL DOESN'T RECOGNIZE IT

If there are multiple drives on the system, the tool will select the first one that is capable of burning DVDs. If you have multiple DVD-R drives, try inserting the blank DVD into another DVD-R drive. If that doesn't help, please make sure that your disc isn't damaged and that your DVD-R drive is operational. Contact Product Support if issues continue to arise.

INSERTED A BLANK DVD IN MY DVD-ROM DRIVE, BUT THE TOOL WON'T LET ME BURN IT

Make sure the disc isn't a dual-layer DVD disc. Currently, dual-layer discs are not supported within the tool.

Sebelumnya saya sudah mereview MS. Office 2010. Kali ini saya akan memposting generasi selanjutnya dari Microsoft, yaitu MS. Office 2013.

Microsoft office adalah aplikasi office yang paling populer diantara aplikasi office yang lain. Hingga sekarang telah beberapa kali Microsoft telah mengeluarkan produk office nya mulai dari Microsoft office 2002, 2003, 2007, 2010 dan terbaru pada versi beta office 2013, microsoft menamainya dengan Customer Preview atau Office 365 Preview.

Microsoft office 2013 ini hanya support untuk microsoft windows 7 dan windows 8, sedangkan pada windows xp dan vista tidak support. Jadi bagi anda yang masih menggunakan windows xp maupun vista dan ingin mencoba Ms office 2013 sebaiknya segeralah upgrade windows anda menjadi windows 7 atau windows 8.

Berikut ini syarat-syarat yang harus dipenuhi agar microsoft office 2013 dapat bekerja dengan baik di komputer anda :

Oke... setelah di download selanjutnya kita bisa langsung menginstallnya di komputer, sebagai catatan.. kita uninstall terlebih dahulu MS Office lama kita (2003, 2007 atau 2010). 

Setelah selesai diinstall restart. Selanjutnya kita buka salah satu dari MS. Office 2013, misal ms word 2013. Setelah terbuka klik Blank Document >> File >> account >> aktivasi product dengan cara memasukkan serial number. Untuk SN bisa beli di microsoft atau cari di rumah mbah google. hehehe...

Setelah selesai kita bisa register di account microsoft (hotmail, live). Jika sudah punya email sign in, tetapi jika belum punya email sign up.. ini nantinya berguna bagi kita untuk menambah layanan di microsoft office  kita.

Kesimpulan : Secara pribadi.. saya masih menyukai ms office 2010 dibanding ms office 2013 dalam melakukan pekerjaan sehari-hari, Penilaian saya ini berdasarkan pengalaman saya menggunakan kedua ms office tersebut, Salah satu minus 2013 adalah tampilan halaman yang hanya berwarna putih. Walau office background ada 6 pilihan, tapi itu hanya tampilan sedikit corat-coret di bagian atas kanan saja hehehe... Kita tunggu aja selanjutnya, siapa tau microsoft mengupdate office 2013 dengan tambahan fitur-fitur yang lebih dan familiar dengan semua kalangan.
